"Izaak is a jazz nazi."
what’s new ?
Izaak’s Fabulous Street Band can be heard around Seattle busking for your change, and Ike also leads the trio Floss with John Seman and Mark Ostrowski.
Monktail multi-reedist Izaak Mills was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. Originally a flutist, Mills picked up the saxophone and bass clarinet while in high school, when he began studying with the great Bert Wilson. His versatility, both stylistically and in the sheer number of instruments that he has mastered, makes him a sought after sideman, Mills is a member of the Seattle groups Bacteria, Picoso, and Clinton Fearon’s Boogie Brown Band. Besides performing as a sideman, Mills is the leader of the unrelenting free jazz trio Floss, a subgroup of the Monktail Creative Music Concern.
